A platform built for artists

Gniark Live is a music live streaming platform for artists, bands, cultural nonprofits and studios who want to control their broadcast without relying on an opaque feed.

Why Gniark Live exists

Generalist platforms optimize video calls, gaming or mass-market video. Gniark Live focuses on artist needs: music-ready audio, low latency, link control, simple access and independence from algorithms.

Our technical approach

The platform uses WebRTC, 48 kHz Opus audio, browser access and OBS WHIP integration. Detailed guides cover audio routing on Mac and Windows (BlackHole, Loopback, Voicemeeter, etc.).

Our data approach

Gniark Live favors a sober, European, privacy-respecting approach: no invasive ad tracking, hosting in France where your plan provides it, GDPR documentation for cultural organizations.

Who is it for?

  • Independent artists
  • Bands and collectives
  • Cultural nonprofits
  • Studios and producers
  • Hybrid event organizers

Frequently asked questions

Is Gniark Live linked to the Gniark Gniark association?

Gniark Live is the live application in the Gniark Gniark ecosystem. gniarkgniark.fr presents the cultural project; live.gniarkgniark.fr is the operational platform.

Where is data hosted?

Depending on your plan, streams and data may be hosted in France under a GDPR-aligned framework. See our privacy policy for details.

Does Gniark Live replace YouTube Live?

No. YouTube Live is useful for reaching a mass audience. Gniark Live is better suited to private concerts, rehearsals, showcases, premium lives and events where low latency, link control and audio quality matter.

Can I use OBS with Gniark Live?

Yes. OBS can send a full scene to a Gniark Live room via the WHIP protocol.

Can I organize a private concert?

Yes. Gniark Live lets you create a private room, share a restricted link and run a concert for a selected audience.

Can I sell tickets?

Yes, via external ticketing such as HelloAsso, Billetweb, Shotgun or a payment link. Gniark Live provides the live room.

Is it suitable for nonprofits?

Yes. Nonprofits can run benefit concerts, galas, hybrid events, private lives or cultural broadcasts with more control than a generalist platform.

Do attendees need to install an app?

No. Access is via a compatible browser, with no mandatory installation.

How is it different from Zoom?

Zoom is built for meetings. Gniark Live focuses on live music, audio quality, low latency, OBS WHIP and broadcast control.

What internet connection is required?

A stable fibre, 4G or 5G connection is recommended. For a paid concert or event, run a technical test before going live.
