How many people can join a room?

Does Gniark Live replace YouTube Live?
No. YouTube Live is useful for reaching a mass audience. Gniark Live suits private concerts, rehearsals, showcases and events where low latency and link control matter.
Audio and technical setup
What audio quality does Gniark Live offer?
Gniark Live uses Opus 48 kHz over WebRTC, suited to live music: instruments, vocals and dynamics are preserved better than with a typical voice codec.
Can I use a USB audio interface or XLR microphone?
Yes. Connect your interface or mic on the broadcasting machine, select the source in the browser or route the signal via OBS WHIP depending on your workflow.
How do I improve sound on Mac or Windows?

Is latency compatible with a band rehearsal?
WebRTC typically delivers around 100 ms transport latency. That works for rehearsal or jam sessions, but a technical test is still required before each session.

Can I use OBS with Gniark Live?

WHIP or RTMP from OBS: which should I choose?
WHIP connects OBS directly over WebRTC to Gniark Live with lower latency. RTMP remains useful to relay to some public platforms with delay.
Do I need a sound engineer for an OBS live?
For a simple showcase or concert, one technical lead is often enough. For a ticketed multi-camera event, plan a sound check and a test the day before.
Ticketing and monetization
Can I sell tickets?
Yes, via external ticketing such as HelloAsso, Billetweb, Shotgun or a payment link. Gniark Live provides the live room; monetization stays on your provider.
Can I run a paid private concert?
Yes. Create a restricted-access room, sell seats through your usual ticketing tool and send the link only to confirmed buyers.
Does Gniark Live take a commission on sales?
No. Gniark Live hosts the WebRTC room; your revenue flows through HelloAsso, Stripe or any payment tool you choose.
